Ukraine Has Increased Oilseeds Export by Almost 2 Times

The main export product groups are sunflower, safflower and cottonseed oil that is (26.25% of the total amount of agrarian exports).
From the beginning of 2017 – 2018 marketing year (MY, July 2017 – June 2018) Ukrainian agrarians has exported 1.6 million tons of oilseeds, which is almost 1.9 times more than in the same period last year.

It was reported by the press service of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection. “As of October 11, over the current marketing year, more than 1.6 million tons of oilseeds were exported, including rape – more than 1.46 million tons, soybeans – more than 0.15 million ton”, the report said.

The press service noted that for the same period last year, 0.9 million tons were exported, including rape – almost 0.64 million tons, soybeans – more than 0.27 million tons.

As UNIAN reported, according to the data from the State Consumer Protection Service, as of September 27, 2017 Ukrainian farmers have exported 1.32 million tons of oilseeds. During the first eight months of this year, Ukraine has exported agricultural products to 11.5 billion dollars, which is 24.5% more than the same period last year.

The main export product groups are sunflower, safflower and cottonseed oils with a share of 26.25% of the total agrarian export, corn (20.34%), wheat and wheat mixture (12.87%), and others.
