The leading place among the largest sunflower processors in September-August was taken by Kernel Company, which accounted for about 23 percent of the production of crude sunflower oil, as well as for 20 percent of refined sunflower oil.
The TOP 5 producers of crude sunflower oil includes:
1. Kernel: 23 percent (share in the total production volume);
2. Vioil: 7 percent;
3. Optimus Agro: 6 percent
4. European Transport Stevedoring Company: 6 percent;
5. Myronivsky Hlibproduct: 6 percent.
At the same time, the largest producers of refined sunflower oil are Kernel (20 percent), Bunge Ukraine (17 percent) and Delta Wilmar CIS (14 percent). The leaders in the production of sunflower meal / cake are Kernel (22 percent), Optimus Agro (7 percent), and European Transport Stevedoring Company (7 percent).
According to the report, at the end of the marketing year 2016/17, Ukrainian companies processed 46.3 percent more sunflower seeds than in the previous marketing year as a result of a record harvest of sunflower in 2016 and an active demand for sunflower oil of Ukrainian production in the world market.
It is important to remember that Ukraine produced 3.18 million tons of crude sunflower oil in January-July 2017, which is 36 percent above the corresponding value for 2016.
