According to analysts of the Optimus Group, the results of eleven months of 2015/16 MY (September – July) sunflower oil production in Ukraine totaled about 4.8 mln. tons, which is 12% higher than the corresponding last year’s figure and by 8% is the rate of 2013/14 MG. This year’s production is an absolute record for the country. Almost 90%, namely 4.24mln. tons, of sunflower oil for September – July were exported, and it is also a record figure. Taking into account the official data for August, which have already been received, 4.5 mln. tons were exported from Ukraine for the whole 2015/16 MY (September – August), which is 17% more than the last year’s figure and 8% more than the figures in 2013/14 MY. There is no official information as to the sunflower oil roduction in August yet, but according to analysts of the Optimus Group, the total volume of sunflower oil production for the entire 2015/16 MY (September – August) will be about 5 mln. tons. It is also expected that in the 2016/17 season that has just begun, sunflower oil production will exceed the figure of 2015/16 MY, including the introduction of new capacities and forecasts of the ecord harvest of sunflower.
